Default Seat belt install in a convertible

I just got a 47 Mercury convertible and want to install seat belts. At a minimum I want lap belts. Not sure how 3 point belts would install. Any advice or instructions would be appreciated. Thanks! Tom

I just used Julionas seat belts on my 40MERC. . Great people to deal with. @point mounts. no bolt covers. we removed the front seats and drilled holes in the aft of the floor pan, so the belts ran inside the seat side braces. Locations are pretty obvious. Il measure roughly if you need it. My seats are back in place.

Thanks Clem. Do you have any pictures of where and how you mounted them?

Clem will answer, too, but the outboard front anchors share car seat anchor bolts and the inboard anchors have bolts through new holes in the floor boards with Juliano’s backup plates underneath. The rears are the same as the front inboard anchors. In order to have the buckles lay properly on the seats and not be twisted on your lap, we had to bolt the anchor plates reversed and double the belts back before passing behind the seat cushion.

In my49 I just drilled the floor boards where I wanted the seatbelts. The anchor points may not be terribly strong but will keep someone in the car and any give will minimize injury from the seatbelt.
