Re: this is what I drug home yesterday- not Ford
In Canada they were badged "Buick", but the popular name was "McLaughlin Buick".

Oops, you hit another pet peeve! You said you could care less. That means you do care, but you have the ability to decrease the amount of care you have. The correct terminology would be you could not care less. That means that you have the minimum amount of care possible. Oh, and BTW, I'm just having fun and pulling people's legs with all this. |

I thought wood spoke wheels were out by 1930??
you could add wire wheels in 1930 on Buick, at an additional cost. In 1931, when the 8 cylinder first came out for Buick, I believe all Buicks had wire wheels. So I guess Ford was ahead of the curve. |

Great looking car! I wish I was a bit more liquid and could help you with your overcrowded A situation!
AND, it looks like an old mill in the background, there must be a crick close by. |

I won't pretend to know what others on here think, I can only say that I appreciate a little levity and found your "english lesson" amusing.

That is an interesting response from someone that started this by complaining about what someone posted. perhaps you should heed your own advice and allow those of us that appreciate the kinds of posts that got your knickers in a twist enjoy them.

Re: this is what I drug home yesterday- not Ford
There are many, many members on this site that lack any significant formal education. To ridicule their spelling or grammar will discourage them from posting. That is the last thing we want because many of them have more Model A knowledge than the self professing spelling and grammar experts. Think about it.

Re: this is what I drug home yesterday- not Ford
Hey Birdman,
I believe that photo was taken by the last owner up above the New Hope area of PA> absolutely beautiful area of PA that has Washingtons Crossing and several covered bridges. He told me he drove this car around NYC in the past few years, having a place up there........... Today I am working on the pass door. He had backed up in the garage with the door open- caught the door and now I am enjoying a living hell! next up is the drivers door- that has rot in the top of the door jam........... fresh roof vinyl coming this week and then time to take her out for a good run! weather has warmed up and no more crazy winds......great day here! regarding the English lessons- guys please lighten up.................... |

Re: this is what I drug home yesterday- not Ford
Another solution would be to post in larger font.
A better solution is to adjust the text size in your browser settings. Back to topic, how about a few more photos, like the interior, dash and engine? Last edited by Mister Moose; 11-03-2020 at 02:24 PM. |
