Default 1936 pickup - radiator water self leveling

Any body know how much water radiator pumps out to self level the water in the radiator to normal level .....to see if mine is normal
I am putting in about 1.5 litres ( just over 3 pints )

Many of them like to level-out just above the top of the tubes....then they're happy! DD

mine would be well over half the tank full. Probably wouldn't be far off what you have .

Mine actually likes to run below the tube tops, rarely goes above about 170 even in the summer. If I fill it over the tubes it just flows out into my recovery bottle while driving.
