Default Your technique, please...

Today I put the two parking brake return springs on the levers at the backing plates. It took two minutes each, a hook tool, sticking my tongue out, and lots of grunting. It all worked out, but I am always amazed that I don't stab myself with the tool. how do you guys do it? Just wondering.

I take a peace of string, rap it around the spring and pull it back over the lever.

Smart thinking when the proper tools are not available.
We all need to add a "Roll of Pennies" to our Spares parts/tools we carry in our A's!

Might be hard to do. Some of us are on a budget.

Pennies are no longer available in Canada, and I cannot afford dimes.
