Default John Leathers- Rest in Peace

My good friend and flathead mentor passed away yesterday .

John was a toolmaker and machinist superb whose first car was
a 32 5 window coupe in about 1950.

John helped me with many projects including my 34 Roadster
as I was building it and making it drivable .

We traveled to Oklahoma City for a Steet Rod national meet,
and went to the LA Roadster show a couple of times.

John knew stuff!! He will be missed in the flathead
circles around North Texas and beyond.

Services will be at 11:00 am Friday morning at:

Aley United Methodist Church
1215 West Cedar Creek Parkway
Seven Points
Texas
75143

His final ride will be in his 1930 Ford
Pickup that he loved. Family is requesting
anyone that can bring their old cars join the
procession in honor to John.

John was 86.

Terrible news! I knew John when he had a 34 (or 33?) sedan in the 1980's. He was a wealth of knowledge and was really good at finding parts. He also was able to tell some really good stories about old Fords. How old was he when he passed?
