Old Tool Set
Does anyone know anything about an old tool set, Walden Worcester wrenches? Found a complete set in its' original wooden box in the hayloft of a barn that was being torn down. Contains a very archaic ratchet complete with all sockets. Patent # on the ratchet is 516. The old guy there thought they were for a Model A.

Re: Old Tool Set
Take a peek at this early Walden Worcester catalog - it might help you identify the tools:

Re: Old Tool Set
Not necessarily. Tools improved a lot after WWII and the good ones made today, SO, Stahlwille, etc are as good as any in history. The old tools were often outrageously heavy and bulky and that matters a lot when you use them all the time.

Re: Old Tool Set
I bought a set of tools in a wooden box at Chickasaw a couple years ago. The box had a logo of Frank Mossberg. Googled it and there was a lot of info and old advertisements, my sets looks to be about 100 years old. It was complete, end wrenches, square and hex sockets Rachel and some other stuff. I can't do a 30 minuet project with out misplacing a tool don't know how this all stayed together a hundred years!

I've also got an old Mossberg socket set. Can't use any of them on my Mossberg rifle though. |
