Default Installing engine/tranny w/ pedals

I'm getting ready to install my new rebuilt engine with rebuilt transmission attached. I have also assembled the pedals onto the bell housing. Will this be a problem as I swing the combo back into place? Will I have to take the pedals off?

It's also easier to install to drop the engine back in the frame with the accelerator linkage bracket removed from the flywheel housing. The accelerator pedal can easily get tangled with the firewall when sliding the engine in. It's not hard to slide the accelerator bracket back in after the engine is bolted back in place.

As 160b states “remove the pedals”. I guarantee that you if you try to put the engine in you will be removing the pedals in the process. They are so easy to remove I’m not sure I can understand why you would try in the first place and complicate it.
It’s A very easy process. You can leave the outward stop collar off till the clutch pedal and arm are installed and then slip the collar and pin on. Of course you might have to pull the clevis pin to adjust the arm but that’s your call.
Good luck!
