It's a beauty for sure! A little high build primer, a Maaco paint job and some rubbing compound and she's perfect.

The passenger door doesn't look like a roadster door and doesn't fit well. But it must be fast, the head is painted red!

Don't be makin' fun of Bo Bo the clown's car. Wasn't this in Roger Rabbit? Hey, I think that was my '38 Ford that he bumps out of the way up on the bridge just at the end.

fit and finish of the doors are exemplary, not to mention the running board to rear fender fit.

Love the "air-conditioned" firewall. It will keep you safe when the reworked fuel line fails.

The only thing on the car is the car that is roadster is the cowl the back half is most likely 28 or 29 sport coupe. I would say he was smart to buy a finished car because he doesn't know enough to build one.

I alway love (actually hate, just being facetious) how people are quick to insult other peoples cars when they think the owner isn't listening. That's the thing about the internet, you never know if the owner is a member here and is quietly reading all the comments. Years ago on a rifle building forum I follow, someone found a picture online of a rifle that was somewhat less than stellar and posted it with some snide comments. It was followed by a "dog pile" of similar derogatory comments for a couple pages when I posted that "the owner is a regular member here, why not ask him directly". It didn't take long for all the back-pedalling to commence and I received a couple PM's asking for the members handle so they could apologize directly. I told the private responders that I had no idea who the owner was, was just making a point. Just something to think about.

Doors could be made better for sure but I kinda lean towards Licensed to kills point - the buy it now is $5500 - when was the last time you bought and or sold something for the exact amount you were selling/buying for? There's a reason he put make an offer on his listing. This could be the car someone wants to putt around town get ice cream etc. Yes its a hodge podge of parts but so what? This is one of those rare cases a somewhat complete looking car is worth more than the total of the parts. I think it would be fun to cruise in and not worry about door dings, bird sh*t, rock chips etc.
