Point taken. Given positive result with .047 jets in the primary, I will re-jet the secondaries as well. Radiator swap soon.

Generally overheating at idle or slow traffic is due to not enough air flow through the radiator. Do you have a shroud?

I have a shroud that surrounds about 2/3 of the fan diameter. The bottom is not shrouded. I fabricated a spacer to put the fan closer to the radiator; a little less than an inch. Those changes did not make an appreciable improvement in cooling at idle. I also fabbed a baffle to prevent air from moving from in front of the radiator, over the top. Sealed the sides and bottom around the radiator with foam. Pretty much anything coming in through the grill has to go through the radiator. Again, no noticeable improvement at idle or at speed.

Will report on the effectiveness of the replacement truck radiator in a week or so.
