Default 1934 Starter engaging....sometimes

My 1934 Ford has been sitting in the garage all summer waiting for my return. I'm back and tried to start it today. Sometimes the engine turns over and sometimes the starter just "whirrs". The next time I try it, it might turnover or not. The starter was rebuilt just this past March. What can the problem be? Would a bad ground do it? Should I wire brush the cable end at the starter?

Suggestions, please.

Thanks, Tom

Low voltage? Connectors that need cleaned?
