Bolt pattern, back space, wheel width
I have a 1946 Ford Coupe. What size would the bolt pattern be, how much back space? And what would be the widest tire/wheel that would fit in the fender? The car has the stock rear end.
Thanks Guys. |

Re: Bolt pattern, back space, wheel width
Bolt pattern is 5 x 5 1/2. Do you plan on using the stock 16 in. wheel size and stock hub caps or something else, like 15 in. rims? There are lots of things to consider.
Do you plan to use radials instead of the OEM stock bias 6:00 x 16 ? Here's some info. https://www.automobile-catalog.com/t...html#gsc.tab=0 and https://www.bing.com/search?q=how+to...ANAB01&PC=HCTS Keep in mind that if the tire is too wide it may still fit under the fender BUT, the sidewall may hit the lower shock mount bracket. CHECK ALL YOUR CLEARANCES INCLUDING THE INNER FENDER Panel that may hit the tire when cornering or with weight in the trunk. Last edited by 19Fordy; 12-05-2022 at 01:17 PM. |
