One of my favorite books. Long ago Bruce Lancaster loaned me his copy and it took me a while to track down my own. Well worth that price in my opinion.

An outstanding resource for information about '32-'38 Fords from Ford's engineering drawings and release forms of the period plus numerous photos from the photographic department that are not in the public domain.

Also of note, this has a lot on Sedan Deliveries, which aren't usually featured.

Great book, just odd that it stopped at 1938

The '38 model year is an odd choice for the end of the coverage. The end of the '39 model year strikes me as a better choice, but they must have had '38 in mind from the beginning as no '39 model engineering drawings or releases were in their accumulated small mountain of Ford engineering document copies.

Both George DeAngelis and Ed Francis (fellow Ford employees) were likely best known in Model A circles and their book on that subject is, as I understand it, the definitive work for those Fords. Prior to and during the writing of the V8 book, neither George or Ed had much hands-on experience with its subject matter, so there are a few (very few) errors where a long lost drawing or release form had gone astray, thereby misleading the authors. After the book was finished, they both acquired Fords of the '32-'38 era to go with their Model As.

I don't get it. That book is out of print. I checked that link, it doesn't say reprint, and the picture shown looks like the old hard cover.

Alan,
One of the daughters of one of the authors found a stash of the books, as she contacted the EFV-8C web administrator on how to sell them on the EFV-8C web site Classifieds.
My guess is that she wanted to 'move' all that she had, so they must have 'moved' them to the EFV-8F.

Bruce,
That's good to know. An original hard back copy of that book is golden. It looks like there are still 3 copies left!

I read the Ford Barn everyday and I got one of the nine books. $30 with free shipping, pretty good deal considering some on FleaBay are in the Ben Franklin range plus shipping!

I'd had the foundation's listing saved in my eBay cart for a few days now (prior to this thread). Guess I missed the boat; all sold out now. Whoops.
