Default 1936-40 Teardrop Skirts installation?

Just received a set of the steel 1936-40 teardrop skirts for my 38.
There were no instructions provided and I am at a loss as how they install.

There is a small arm at the leading bottom edge, a lever up the center, and a small plate with a wing nut at the rear….

As always, thank you in advance!

Steve

Leave them off. The car will look better. Just my 2˘.

Lawson is correct. If a Ford accessory just maybe, but aftermarket definitely not.
You’ll have to decide before you install, because they’ll mess up your paint job.

Steve We just fitted a set to a 37 sedan ,they were to small to fit so we added a bead of stock around the edge at the owners request .At the lower corners we modified the fixings that were provided ,like welding in a section of tube so that it could sit in the 1/2 round section of the fender .so no chance it could jump out .

Original 37 fender skirts are larger than 38/39 ones.

Yes wrong year ,that's likely why we had to modify these

I got a nice set for my 40.
Was a pain in the ass to install.
Took a few pictures with the skirts on,
And then put them back in the garage attic
