Default What is it?

I have a drip tray under my 1929 Model A Tudor. In it I found this item. It is about 1in round and appears to have 2 springs on the back of it. Any idea what it is and where it goes?

Bob

Looks like a snap coupler of some sort. Not Model A unless it was used on an accessory.

Thanks. I feel better knowing it’s not a common Model A part. My three-year-old was in the car playing and the same day is when I found it in the drip pan. Maybe he got a hold of something else and it ended up in there.

Kids are great to have around when working on your car, eh?

One day while I was working on my Ranchwagon I noticed 5 open end/box wrenches missing from my tools. I looked everywhere, could not find them.

A couple of days later I went to in install the RR tire. I looked down at the drum and wouldn't you know it, pretty as anything, 5 open end/box wrenches hanging from the 5 lug bolts...

Not Model A. Do you have any automatic transmission parts laying around he could've gotten into?

I believe in the 40.s and some 50.s used similar things in the dizzy as a dust cover under the cap

Spare parts. I found that my son had gotten into the coffee can full of spare nuts/bolts etc. I bet it came from there. Thanks for looking at it.
