Default Clutch problem on 30 CCPU

I went out to move the Model A pickup yesterday, it started fine, pushed the clutch in and moved it forward about a foot. The clutch pedal went all the way to the floor, movement stopped. I checked underneath to make sure nothing was disconnected with the pedal etc and nothing obvious. I have not removed the floor to check through the inspection plate but thought maybe someone else had this problem in the past. The previous day, I drove the pickup for a coupe of miles with no problem. Any suggestions welcome.

Good Morning...This happened to me about 16 years ago with a 31 Tudor that I had just purchased...It turned out to be the clutch adjusting rod had broken...its a small piece, so you have to look for it...pull the clutch up and put a block of wood or something to hold it up and then go under the truck and look for the rod hanging on the end of the clutch...Ernie in Arizona

The operating arm could also be cracked thru the pin.

Very common, here's mine. You are lucky it happened near the corral. Mine broke a few miles. I had to drive it home in second gear. Stoplights were fun...

The new ones are reinforced but you may have to do a little grinding to make them fit and function properly.

Most may not know this yet however a new arm was just released and will likely be available from your favorite supplier. This one should be plug & play as-is as it is made from a better quality material. Here is a link to one supplier's listing;

Thanks Brent. I just ordered one on your recommend. But I chuckle to myself whenever I buy a repro part (or original, for than matter) and pay more than $10 for it, since I bought my entire, original, complete, one-owner Tudor in 1961 for only $125.
