32-48 Gas Tank Question
How many holes are there in the top opening of a 1932-1948 gas tank to mount the sending unit? 5 or 6? I know that it sounds like a stupid question but I don't have a tank to look at that is not under a car body right now. Thanks.

Re: 32-48 Gas Tank Question
jk. There are six holes, and they are not evenly spaced, so that the sender can only be installed in the correct orientation for the float arm to move freely. You don't say what vehicle you are working on, but my '46 Coupe has a cover over the sending unit that allow access to the sender without removing the tank.
