Default 36 grill color

Was the color on all 36 standard grills the same as the color of the car and
did all deluxes have a chrome grill? Terry

All deluxe models had a chrome plated grille. The standard models started off (all) with a black painted grille. Seems to me in January 1936 (February perhaps?) Ford started painting them to match the body color.

Yes to both questions.
