Default Re: How to clean the rust & crud from the engine without running it through the radia

I used vinegar and a ladies nylon stocking put in the lower end of the hose to the radiator and held in place by the lower radiator hose clamp. Cut the nylon off and use about 4 to 5 inches in length. Run the engine, check the accumulation of debris and when the debris is reduced to little to none remove the nylon, drain and flush the vinegar out.

If you don't have time to do it right the 1st time, how do you have time to do it the 2nd time?

Anyone ever tried a couple tablespoons of baking soda with clear water, then take it for a drive, and dump the water?
