Rear Motor Mount Spacers.
I'm in the process of refreshing the rubber in my stock rear motor mounts. I ordered new rubber from Bratton's, but I didn't order the three (each side) steel spacers that go through the frame (like I should have). I have the mount back in place now with all the bolts in, but not tightened. Upon inspection of the spacers, I noticed that the ends are not square. This tells me someone hacksawed a tube to obtain the spacers. I would go ahead and just order the spacers, but it's Friday evening and the order wouldn't even be filled till Monday. I have a lathe, and making the spacers would be a simple quick job if I had the correct dimensions. So, can anyone give me the correct length and outside diameter of the spacers? Thanks

Re: Rear Motor Mount Spacers.
I have new ones from Mikes-Afordable. I measured them: 7/16" outside diamter, 5/16" tall. Hope that helps.

Re: Rear Motor Mount Spacers.
Thank you Walkerlakeprinter and Jackson. I'm wondering which length to go with though (.50" or .437" - .44"), as the length would determine how much the rubber is compressed. Jackson, do you thing your spacers might have been original ones?

I can’t say if they were original, but I did have a terrible time getting the old mounts. I don’t think it matters that much, but I will say the float a motors really cut down the vibration.

Re: Rear Motor Mount Spacers.
The rubber kits for the original type mounts have been reproduced in various thicknesses over the last 40-50 years. I doubt that the length of the spacers followed along with changes in the rubber pads. So I would guess that the sleeves aren't there to maintain an even crush, more likely to keep the bolts centered in the frame holes and to keep the rubber lip covering the bolts so as not to contact the frame.

Re: Rear Motor Mount Spacers.
I am replacing mine at this time. I have the old ones out but haven't received the new ones yet...
It will be interesting to see how the new measure compared to the originals. I'm hoping they are closer than the ones in Post #2 from Mikes. Mine are coming from Bert's.

Re: Rear Motor Mount Spacers.
Just some trivia, the ones for the AA are longer because of the thicker frame metal.
