Default 29 Radiator measurements

I recently had my 29 radiator re-cored and I'm concerned they may have installed the new core about an inch higher than the old one. I took some measurements on the old core and I measured 18 1/2 " from the bottom of the top tank to the top of the bottom tank (core height). I don't think I measured wrong, but it's always possible and was wondering if anyone could measure their 29 radiator core height and post it. The measurement on the re-core is 19 1/2". Everything fit well before removing the old radiator. I haven't installed the new one yet, but I'm thinking the 1" extra height would make a significant difference in the way things fit.

Thanks,

Bill

Have you tried putting the radiator shell on and seeing if the holes line up.

19 1/2" is correct. I just measured my original radiator.

Whew - thanks Tom. What a relief.

Bob, I'll be checking the fit of everything this weekend.
