Headlights / Grille Shell
I am wanting to buy these new for my '28. They have been out of stock for awhile. Any idea when they'll be back in stock? When the last guy restored my car he painted those parts. At least I still have them.

I guess I hadn't thought or that. I don't know. They've been painted silver, but do look pretty straight. It's a thought.

Re: Headlights / Grille Shell
If you have them plated, by careful about who you have do it. I've seen too many radiator shells and other sheet metal part ruined by polishers who get too "enthusiastic". They get the thin metal too hot in places and cause it to warp and twist. That is before you even get to the actual plating. Many don't regard any part of such an old car as being worth worrying about and do a very second rate job.
I suggest asking around and going with someone who has a good reputation for this type of work. A good job might cost a little more but you'll have something worth owning. Do it right, do it once!
