Is that a racing only unit or can it be used on a street car? They tout the "driveability" of it, so maybe it's OK for the street. I'll never find out because of the pricing. They sure are proud of their stuff, aren't they?

Check out Fitech. It's an all in one kit that looks like a 4 or 2 barrel carburetor. Pretty slick setup.

They refer to an engine management system in the description that includes the normal inputs you would expect for a street driven car.

4 barrel doesn't work on a flathead, not enough horsepower. I tried. I see they now have a 2 barrel.

FI Tech is supposed the way to go .They had units @ the SEMA show & @ Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale ,Az
I'll see if I can get in touch with my nephew as he was in on the ground floor of development of the unit.
I never heard that a 4bbl didn't work on a flathead, boy that's a new one.

I've always been interested in adding an EFI system to a Flathead. I've started several,but unfortunately they didn't work very well, or the cost got out of hand and I couldn't afford to continue. The first one I tried worked like a charm, up to a point. Back in the late 80's I installed a system from a 4 cyl
Chrysler engine. I used the gas tank and just made an adapter to bolt the one barrel TB to the engine, Using one of my converted SBC distributors to trigger
the electronics. The engine started and ran great on my dyno. Torque readings were consistent with a carbonated engine. Unfortunately the electronics of the Chrysler system limited RPM to 3000, because it thought it was going 6000. I called Chrysler and asked them how to disable the rev lintier, but they wouldn't help. That information is now available. I think this system could be brought up to date and with a better TB run a stock engine quite well. This would be the least expensive of the lot. My present system is alittle more expensive, but offers a much better multi port system, and controls the ignition system as well. I;m sure it can be done for less than a 1000 bucks. Megasquirt offers a Kit for the 5.0 mustang that controls every thing. The cost is about $350. Next you need an intake manifold from a 302/351 for parts. (Sensors) and TB. This can be purchased forn a junk yard for very little cash (87/94) The hardest part is brazing the injector bungs to the intake I'm using a Merc. 4 bolt.
Then you have to program the fuel and ignition system from their web site.
You can also use a stock distributor converted to electronics as their is no advance. I have most of the "Stuff" hope to get it working after the roadster is done.

There is a guy, I think on Australia, last name is Davidson. he used to make one. I do not know if he still does. I think his first name may be Mike, or Tony , I cant remember. My brother bought one of his efi units, must be 10 years ago, but the project has stalled out as other things have come along that were more of a priority, so I can not say how it performed.

That is my experience and FITech was little to no help. The Go Street EFI – 400 HP System I used had no memory feature either to figure out the problem. I doubt the 2 bbl does either. I have spending fatigue with FI systems. I have 3 laying around unused and using one Go Street presently.

I don´t think its 2 or 4 barrel that´s the issue...it´s that when you have to big injectors the time between when they open get´s to long at idle and it will run crappy.
You can lower the fuel pressure to a sertain level after that you need smaller injectors.
And perhaps the lower airflow through a big throttlebody can be an issue.

A number of folks have fabricated their own set ups from existing parts on the HAMB but it is not a project that is bolt on or easy.

There was a guy on the old "'32-'53" flathead site who made his own and it worked very well. If I remember correctly, he could do 12 second quarter miles with a 268" engine in an all-steel '32 coupe, which to me is very impressive! I think he went by "MT/flat" or something similar. He really had a handle on this stuff. I wonder what happened to him. Whenever he posted, I was all over it.

Guessing ur not interested in the EFI Throttle Body that basically mounts like a 4 barrel?

Looking at this way. You could buy an awful lot of good Carburetors, Ignition systems and Fuel for about $2500. For a vehicle you might drive 500 miles a year.

Hmmmmm. When I looked at the Speedway product, I notice the price was cut in half and it's now one of their "Garage Sale" items. I think I can guess what that means.
