'32 #1 and #2 Floorboards
Can anyone provide pictures of how the cloth welting is correctly installed on the #1 and #2 floorboards of a '32. In advance, Thanks So Much.

Re: '32 #1 and #2 Floorboards
I've no photos handy, but it is pretty straightforward. On the #2 board the black anti-squeak webbing is tacked to the edges of the two sides and back and then folded under and tacked along the undersides of those three edges.
On the #1 board it is tacked to the front edge in the same way and ends at the beginning of the recessed area where the sponge rubber weather seal for the pedals and steering column is located. A short piece of webbing is similarly tacked to the furthest outer edges that start at the bottom of the board. There is no webbing on the upper vertical sides, but rather felt strips are tacked there to serve as a weather seal up against the sides of the cowl. Roy Nacewicz has the felt strips for sale. Originally, there was no webbing between the rear edge of the #1 board and the front edges of the #2 board. Last edited by DavidG; 08-30-2016 at 04:25 PM. |
