turn signals for a 35 ford coupe
To all,
I have to install turn signals on a stock 35 Ford coupe, what is my best choice to go with ? The customer does not want a signal stat in the column. Thank you, Mike |

painless Wiring has a setup that uses a toggle switch.
Part number 30120, I think. Used it on my 41 pickup. |

This is better than the one Model A suppliers sell IMHO. Self cancelling by time.

I have a '35 and a '36 and in both cases I have a dual gauge under the dash for oil pressure and temperature. Between the two gauges I have an electric fuel pump priming switch (dead man switch) and a two-way signal lever switch for the turn signal. Behind this plate I have a tiny Radio Shack buzzer that reminds me when I have the turn signals working. On occasion, when I need to give things an original look, I have the plate mounted to the dash lip with a couple of wing nuts which I can quickly remove and set the entire plate assembly up and behind the dash out of view. Other than the gauges and wiring I probably don't have more than $10 invested. Tom Last edited by flatheadfan; 03-03-2014 at 07:12 PM. |

American Auto Wire also sells a toggle turn switch. You can buy it from Summit Racing.

Also Mike, you can put the front turn signal lites inside the horns, behind the mesh. I made my kit to do this, thinking I was real clever and then I saw a 20 year old catalog that had a kit for it. Today Bob Drake sells a kit for it. It is a very clean and neat installation.....Matt in Alameda
