fan help
Does anyone have info on how to dis-assemble an 8ba fan/bracket asembley?
My bracket is toast & i can't figure how to get the fan apart to remove it...help...thanks! mike |

Thanks 19fordy, not like mine, but similar to mine. My engine is supposed to be a 1952, but is a mix of stuff. Don't know how to post photo & the part is at the builders.....

Most of he 8BA era fans use sealed pressed in double row bearing & shaft. There are some universal water pump shaft & bearing assemblies that can be altered to the correct dimensions for replacement purposes. The early 49 and early pickup types still used the 59A era type fan that dated back to 1942 (21A). These have an internal oil reservoir and are repairable with new parts being available from resto part vendors.
