Default 37 Truck w/6 volt Sealed Beam Conversion questions

My 37 has had the original 2 bulb reflectors removed and sealed beam lights installed in place of the original stuff.

I'd like to put it back to the original 2 lamp so that I can have the original style parking lights again.

My question is will the rings I have now work with the clear lens and reflector for the 2 lamp style. Or was there maybe different style rings used too...

The spring retainers are all in good shape and everything works like it should but I don't have any way I know of to get parking lights without something external...

Thanks!

Don

What's the purpose of the kinda socket looking thing that is attached to the inner ring?

Isn't the standard parking light socket in the reflector?

heoing back to the original reflector type of head lights can be very expensive and time consuming. The aftermarket reflectors leave much to be desired, they don't fit well and have poor reflection. Halogen conversions also leave much to be desired. A lot of light that goes nowhere because the bulbs don't match up with the prisms in the original lens.
A very good option is a set of GUIDE 682 sealed beam conversions. Sealed beam headlights came as standard equipment on all vehicles made from '40 on. The aftermarket supplies jumped on this lighting improvement coming up with many styles of conversions, the ones you have being typical. Guide went one step higher making headlight conversions that replaced the entire headlight pod with a new one that contained the sealed beam and a neat parking light on top of the pod.
The hot rodders discovered the GUIDE 682 lights about fifteen years ago, this caused the price for a good used set to sky rocket. There are many aftermarket versions of the GUIDE 1683 lights available now at a very reasonable price.
The Guide 682 lights were made to fit several different vehicles, generally being made with mounting pads that are brand specific, i.e.. side mount, bottom mount, etc.
PM me if you want more info..
