Default Fuel Tank for 1946 Pickup ?

Is anyone reproducing a stock fuel tank for a 1/2 ton 1946 pickup truck? Who is the best source?

If not, where can I get a stock fuel tank in nice condition?

I appreciate any & all leads! THANKS!

i needed one for my 42 1.5 tonner. i believe they are all the same in the 42-47 era, as the cabs are all the same. i found mine in nebraska by asking venders for leads. it was perfect! i have the old one---it has some pinholes at the bung area where fuel line connects to tank. otherwise it is very sound. i see you are not that far away. i would donate this to you if you can't find what you need. would need a small amount of welding to repair. would be worth the road trip.

Hi Peteyshoes!
I appreciate your offer on the tank, however, I prefer to do as you did.......find another one. I have just begun my search and was hoping by putting the word out I would obtain a few sources. It's early yet, and I will have to contact some vendors for their recommendations as well. Thanks again & wish me luck!
