Default Ford Y Block Builders??

Hi, I'm looking for information on getting hold of a good rebuilt 292, 312, Y Block to go in a '40 Ford sedan, everyone keeps saying Chevy, but I'm a Ford in a Ford kind of a guy and at present I'm a feeling like a change from a flatty. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is the flathead forum. I think you will get a better response if you go to the Late v-8 forum. Also you could post in the late v-8 swap under "wanted". John

I love the Y into the `40 idea. I'm thinking you'll need a rear sump pan and the shortest water pump/ front cover assy you can find. I'll bet this would be a great combo. The heck with the chevs.
