Default Gas gauge bubble glass

Interesting there are two metal pieces for bubble glass. Some have a horizontal oval and others vertical. This is my last one. Anyone know the dates?

Glass for sale in swap meet section.

My fuel tank is stamped May 29, using Steve Pluckers information May of 1929 was the last month that the magnified glass was used and my gauge has the horizontal glass, not sure about the start date.

My tank date is 6-7-29, and matching engine#/frame# date is 6-11-29. No way to know if the gauge is the original tho' I believe it is. It has a horizontal bubble glass.

My march 29 cab had a horizontal bubble lens, not usre how the vertical bubble lens would actually magnify anything and actually make it easier to read... Perhaps a poor repo? stamping goof (somehow...)

Do you have a assembly plant stamping, my engine and tank dates are also within a week of each other, frame # unknown, my cc is stamped 10.383 but no definitive assembly letters, from what I can tell it was probably assembled in Detroit , all engines and tanks were made at the rouge.
My fuel gauge had he original paper gaskets, and surprisingly was easy to remove.

my car is a woody (150A), and I'm not aware of any assembly plant #s on the woodies...
