Default Removing steering arms from spindles

Removing the spring perches from the front axle was no problem at all but the steering arms are another story. I've tried placing the nut at the end of the threads and hitting it with a big lead hammer but it didn't move. Should I just go to the next level and use a hydraulic press and/or heat? Any tips would be appreciated.

The ideal tool would be a piece of round bar stock less than the diameter of the hole. Have a hole bored and tapped to match the steering arm nut, deep enough to bottom on the arm shaft. Screw it on the steering arm threads after soaking things with P B Blaster tap with hammer and they should fall out.
