Default Chassis dates

The early Ford chassis were the same from '35 until when? I thought it was '39 or '40 but I just don't remember.

1940. (plus maybe 41 pickup, depending of crossmember type)

Generally similar, but lots of little detail differences. Lots of cars and trucks have been rebuilt on frames from a different year.

Early 35/6 frame have a rear rail difference, the front cross members are different 35-39 std and 39 deluxe /40

Dick, the Westcott drawing doesn't show those differences, but does show Tranny and radiator mount differences. Can you elaborate and comment on the Westcott drawing? Are there better drawings than Westcotts?

Thank you all. I saw a chassis listed as a 40-41 pickup and I thought that 40 was the cutoff date as it is for cars i guess.

The Wescott drawing shows at least some of the differences, the left side and right side are drawn differently. The differences are listed out near the middle of the drawing.
