Default Mallory or other?

Hi ALL, looking at upgrading to a later Distributor to replace Divers Helmet type on our 39 v8 pick up, Engine is newly rebuilt with a hot cam and likes to rev out, so need something good,
Prefer a points condenser type, but what do you recommend? thanks in advance.

warning Mallory is no longer they were taken over by MSD and anything now sold as Mallory is actually MSD so be careful as parts for actual Mallory are NSO only hard to come by they sell the dissys by the same numbers yet they are totally different inside [ive got 2 that need recurves and cant by the parts so their just paperwieghts ]

I would stay with the original as when they're 'properly' rebuilt they are a good performer, reliable and should rev all you need for a street flathead.

You can simply convert your divers bell dist to a better set up that eliminates the points and condenser. I realize you prefer points condenser type however it is the 21st Century retiring a points system is actually a better choice for a performance aspect. Pertronix located in San Demas California makes a very good drop in conversion for the diving bell dist.
