I have two. One in the truck and the other in my car. Bought them from speedway. Can’t recall exact price (been few years) I think $180 with free shipping. They are great battery’s and I’ll definitely buy again.

I got my 6v RedTop from 4wheelonline at a discounted price, though not sure if they still have on stock. Try to contact them.

Phillip, Eos production started in 2006, although I'm not sure if we've been the OE battery the entire time (that was before my time with the company). OE business isn't on my radar much and the volume is so small on that car relative to the rest of our business, it could've been later and I might not have heard, but it's been at least 10 years now.

Kube, some online retailers are easier to deal with than others for sure. Some are particularly challenging, because you think you're dealing with one entity, but it turns out you're actually dealing with a marketplace seller, who could end up being as hard to track down as any of the sellers on eBay or Craigslist. It's a good idea to send an email or pick up the phone and call customer service before making an online purchase, just to see how easy it might be to get ahold of someone if you need them after the purchase.

Glad to see they are still available. I'll let my daughter, who now owns Apatchy know. Hopefully, the present one will last until I'm gone. LOL

Keep on V8ing.

I have Optima batteries on all six of my old Fords. All are 6-volt except for 12-volt in my ’34 roadster and I have purchased all of them from Amazon. What I like about them is that they hold their voltage much longer than standard wet cell batteries, they don’t leak acid, you can lay them on their side and they seem to crank the engines a little faster. I have never felt that I needed a maintenance charger on any of them.

The only problem that I ever had with an Optima battery was that one of three large 12-volt batteries that I bought for starting my Diesel motorhome, failed in less than 18 months. When I called Amazon (and got to the right person), they sent me three new ones at no cost. I was told that I didn’t need to return them, and one now resides in my ’34 roadster. The other one comes in handy to have around at times.

Optima Jim...……. What is the difference between the 8010-044 and the 9010-044? Is it just that the 9010 is a newer piece?
