Steering arm torque?
No torque listed in my book for these.
Anyone have a number for me, for when these come in and I reinstall.

Re: Steering arm torque?
Tight.........
Paul in CT I don't believe there were ever any torque values published for an A, only later did values come about for head, rear axle, etc. Common sense comes into play here also. |

Re: Steering arm torque?
the torque is, a big socket, a long breaker bar and strong arms, if your real nervous use lock tight on the threads

A long breaker bar may break a bolt.

Re: Steering arm torque?
Tight!! I have used two combination wrenches, box end on nut,2nd wrench box end thru
the first open end, making cheater wrenches. Tighten, smack bolt head, then tighten 1/8 of a turn more. If that bolt/nut comes loose, you and your car will look ugly :-( |
