Rumble Seat Top
Would love to find one of these. I know there were several manufacturers.

Re: Rumble Seat Top
If you watch ebay, There is one that has come up often, but never had much interest because you have to have a coupe, and you had to drill a row of snaps across the top of the car. Others show up on a regular basis, I believe those are from someone making them, but he wants $7-800.
If you look at many of the photos, they are not complex. I have seen several that have been home fabricated and came out well. |

Re: Rumble Seat Top
I have thought it would be great to have one too. Maybe LeBarron Bonney or someone should look at making one.

Re: Rumble Seat Top
If I wanted one I would go to a BOAT CANVAS firm that makes SAILBOAT DODGERS which are about the same thing, utilizing SUNBRELLA which is a synthetic canvas that comes in a color looking almost correct for a top.

You would have to make something like a mini roadster top that is not side supported. |

Re: Rumble Seat Top
I would assume that a functioning top would collapse to the rear and the passenger would climb into the seat and pull the top over them, fastening to the rear of the passenger compartment top and maybe locking a forward bow of some sort in place. Completely impractical but neat as all get out!
