Default oil leak

Hi folks, I have a 59ab rebuilt engine that has a pretty severe oil leak, I'm not sure were its coming from, seems to be concentrated on drivers side soaking the wishbone and brake/clutch pedal area on that side wile driving, I cant seem to pin point it when on the lift with engine at idle. The pan is a 1934 and I see some seepage at gasket on that same side. I have a new gasket ordered but im wondering if anyone has had a similar issue. I cant recall if there is a seam between the pan and flywheel cover area or if its two separate pieces piggy backed. Thanks for any help. Ken

There is an additive to put in your oil that carries a dye that shows up with an ultra violet light. It works like a champ to find leaks. It comes in a kit with additive and the light.

Sounds like it is around the vent hole. Some gaskets don't
work around that hole. G.M.

How about from the oil pressure sender? The vent is on the passenger side.

34 pan has no vent.
the pan gaskets are different on an early pan with no vent to a later one with the vent, they are different in the area that the cork main cap gasket goes onto the pan gasket.

so on the lift you cannot see a big leak but driving the car results in a big noticeable leak? if this is the case the oil is climbing the back of the pan and going out around the gasket
