I knew the engine was not the original in our '28 Coupe so this evening I checked the date stamped into the gas tank of our car and found 5-25-28. That was a Friday.

While the records pertaining to this are inconclusive, most seem to feel this is the date the tank passed inspection (-i.e. Pressure test) and not the date the vehicle was assembled.
