I looked for something awhile ago and someone said, or I read "Dupont 7 Auto Top Finish & Thickote" was what they used to use but it wasn't made anymore. I went on ebay and looked for it and there was none but they would email me if some came up. Got an email the other day that some was listed. I had already used something else. Just do a search on ebay using that phrase and it should come up. Have no idea if it works or not.

Unfortunately griots discontinued the product. The flagship store is right here in Tacoma, WA I e-mailed them and they informed me that it was a non seller. They went on to say if demand was high they would bring it back. I have just enough for one or two more applications. It was great stuff dammit.

I use top dressing from (oh my God) Macs. It’s nasty stuff but lasts several years.

If it's black long/ short grain vinyl (synthetic), there is vinyl fabric spray in gloss and flat made for that at most auto stores. Stays flexible.

I have good luck with Armoral which I buff dry after 15 minutes.

Back to Black works pretty good too. Its amazing, goes on clear and the black pops right back.

What's that stuff like? And is there any other supplier for it?

You have to be very carefull and not get on the paint. Also has to be rubbed in to get it even. It does stain, so you need gloves. The only place I’ve seen it is Macs, but things change.

I use Dupont THICKOTE top dressing. No longer made but you can find it at swap meets and on eBay. I have a 1931 160B with the original top and it works great for sealing leaks.

On eBay I always contact the seller to see if the can is empty and for display or does it have the product still in the can.

This auction close in 2 hrs

here is another auction

What is their address, or other contact information? We can give it to the vendors and they can contact Griots to express demand.
