SLLLOOOWW response.....
Have any of you been experiencing slow response to input at this site. Mine started yesterday and is very annoying. Especially for one with no knowledge about this new fangled machine !
I'm 'suspicious ' type also , as I just tried to navigate the HAMB and LOTS of ad pop up over there and wondering if they accompany me to this place ? Anyone..... |

Re: SLLLOOOWW response.....
Normally when the ads pop up, at least on this site, is when you are not signed in to the site and are considered a guest.

Re: SLLLOOOWW response.....
I was getting the "Database Errors" most of yesterday, almost to the point I just shut it down. Not so much today.

Ha, I've been out of the loop, as usual ! Just knew 'something' was not as usual. I am not computerized enough to navigate the hamb, since the overhaul. I do see complaints at times that I try over there, probably from guys like me ..not computer wiz, eh I sure do miss checking out the monthly banger thread, but can NOT seem to locate it now the changes have been made. Oh well, back to the garage where it has finally started cooling off after dark, so as to encourage work on the A !! BTW..thanks for that 'link' ? It explains most all. Hm, how does an upgrade go bad..yikes. Last edited by hardtimes; 10-15-2014 at 11:12 PM. Reason: .......... |

Re: SLLLOOOWW response.....
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I have been experiencing much faster navigation the last couple days.

Re: SLLLOOOWW response.....
Real slow on both sites the last two days but I just clicked on now and it was faster than I can remember in along time. I think the hot rodder Ryan lifted the hood on both these places and made some modifications.
Thanks Ryan. |

Re: SLLLOOOWW response.....
I quit using Firefox because after reading a few strings it would get a 404 connection error message at about half the sites I vist. Now am using chrome and it's so slow I get page loading messages but the pages do load. I guess living with the equivalent to a Model T (Windows XP) in the modern car era (Windows 8) might be part of the problem.
