Default Bob Drake Company

Guys....

Has anyone had any problems within the last week or so in contacting Bob Drake Compnay. I guy I know has called and called and called and sent mails and voicemails and never an answer. All he wants to do is buy something and for almost two weeks Drake's "missing in action" ?

I bought a rear '40 bumper in December with now problem, but he wants to "talk" to someone to discuss a couple things.

Thx...Mike

Everything seems normal, I just received my $30 worth of parts that cost $47 with shipping.

I wish I could get by with only $17 shipping on a $30 item, sometimes the shipping is as much as the item costs.

I wanted to return an item and I called several times and did not get through. I sent an email and received a return number the next day. Busy I guess.

I have mixed feelings about BD. I've tried to call them several times about orders and have given up waiting on hold a couple of times. In fact, I did this just a few days ago and gave up. Had a question about an item on back order. Then I sent an email. Took a couple of days but finally did get an answer.

On another occasion, I called wanting to return an item. The guy on the other end couldn't deal with the fact I did not have the 'invoice' number. All I had was the 'order' number. I'm thinking, 'holy sh..t, man, I can't believe you can't look up my invoice number from the order number.

So...I don't know..... To me customer service is the one thing that prevents a lot of decent companies from becoming great companies. Having said that, I will continue to order from them and I'm very appreciative they are helping me with my old Ford.

I too find I can not get through to their phone number. Placed a web order and wanted it shipped "complete" Then when the missing part came in, they still did not ship. sent emails to customer service....although I was told my order was ready to ship several days later it still did not ship. Finally about week later, shipped and I received everything in good order. Noticed they charge an unusual fee for something like delivery guarantee??? Whats that about?

I've never spoke with a person at Drake's. Always on hold and when selecting "talk to front desk" I was immediately sent to a voice mail box. Didn't bother leaving a message. They aren't the only game in town. I'll try Joe's or Joblot and see how that works. Most of us old folks don't like playing telephone tag.

I always use their internet catalog to place orders during their free shipping programs. Can't ever remember calling them but they have called me about items on back order wanting to know if they should ship what is available or hold the order until BO parts arrive. I have also occasionally picked up my orders at Hershey. Never had a problem with Drake or any of our other well known suppliers, except for MAC's Antigue Auto Parts, not to be confused with Mac VP or Uncle Max who are two of our very best, IMO.
