Default Does anyone know who restores 6 volt regulators?

I need to have an orginal type regulator redone, transitorized may be. The unit is not working. Thanks for any help!

Why not just buy a new one? They're probably as cheap to buy as to rebuild.

Here's one for 1932-39. It looks original but is transistorized. http://macsautoparts.com/early-v8-el...0R3CHL1109037/

Here's a new one for 1939: http://macsautoparts.com/early-v8-vo...0R3CHL1076827/

Here's one for 1940-55: http://macsautoparts.com/early-v8-vo...0R3CHL1141923/

Replacements for '39-'48 usually do not have the ground lug which makes them easy to spot as a replacement, not to mention the colorful plateing and blue lid. If I look for long enough there may be a functioning original or period replacement to do the job. New really looks out of place on my car. Sal is looking for a cutout style for a three brush which seems more common locally, but the electronic replacements are considered an improvement compared to a cutout. Good luck: Fred A

For concourse judging I painted the blue cover on my new regulator black. Made it harder to tell from an original. The peutenum colored plate could also be painted. I didn't go to that extent. Lost no points for it.
