Default B-W woes

This nice 31 Tudor had a Borg Warner overdrive. It worked great until it didn’t. We’ve taken it apart and discovered a broken chain and a gear with pretty sharp teeth.
Does anyone know where we can get parts to rebuild this overdrive or a pro that still speaks and works on these once-popular units? I’m really not asking for opinions about the Borg Warner overdrive. PLEASE.
If you can help …

I think Tom Endy has written several articles on them, located on the Santa Anita A’s website.

I found some good info on vintage auto garage. They have the repair manual for free if you join their mailing list. https://vintageautogarage.com/borg-warner-overdrive/

The chain couplers are replaceable and can be had.

I had similar problems with the chain coupler in my Borg Warner. My problem was that the connecting link in the chain had failed. I did some reading online about how to measure drive chains, measured it, and found the link I needed on Amazon, of all places. Here is a link to the amazon item I bought, though it's currently unavailable. Size on my chain is 40-2.

Here is a link to info on measuring drive chains, in case yours is different...

I was not a fan of this type coupler set up. I would be wanting a spline set up myself.

Some were the Borg Warner types and others were the Volvo Laycock set up.
