Default New Family Ride

This followed me home last week. Frame off restoration done about 10 years ago and has only had 2,000 miles put on it since. I've had several early Fords but this is the first one with a Flathead. Also has a Columbia rearend. Haven't had a chance to drive much, beyond the drive home, as I've been taking care of things that go back when they sit too long. Wasn't looking for a Fordor but it was local and looked even better in person than the photos. Figured it fit the family better than my Roadster.

A very nice car...

Very nice. In this part of the world, I think the 46-48 Fordors are probably one of the best buys in the 32-48 world. Very affordable and I would argue the final refinement of that design. They drive nice, ride good and there's room for normal size people. With the Columbia you'll be able to keep up with traffic reasonably well. Parts fairly easy to find too.
Enjoy!

Great car. You will enjoy that Columbia. The addition of the lap belts is a great plus. A three-point belt would be even safer.
Enjoy

Nice car! We have a '47 Tudor. It makes a great driving family car. I drive it several days a week. These cars drive nicely are comfortable and affordable too. You'll have fun. Don't be suprised if another V8 Ford follows you home in the future.

Really nice, clean and beautiful more-door. You'll have a LOT of fun with your family with this car. I wish I had one like it - to take out on long trips across the USA. You can pack a lot of stuff in the back of it.

Very Very nice! I have an affinity for 4 door cars, that's what we mainly got here in NZ.

Nice 4 door. I've owned a couple of 4 door '40s over the years and they are one handy car on a tour or going out to dinner with friends. Good score on that car and it even has the correct California plates on it.
