Default '47 Sedan Delivery

Hi, I'm kind of new to this scene....I went from a '41 with a flathead to a '47 Sedan delivery. I like the car and will feel comfortable driving it as soon as I install a rear view camera. The side view mirror doesn't offer much when it comes to driving in traffic. My query is (not to sound a snob), is there any published information explicitly for a Sedan delivery. So far, it seems they didn't really exist. Mine is titled as a "Deluxe 2 dr. sedan". Just wondered if there may be a site that addresses those obscure models? Also, the car has a (near as I can trace) 1967 Chevelle small block and 350 trans, so I guess I'm not allowed on this site Anyway, thanks in advance for any information anyone might offer.

You’re welcome here. Check out the sister site to this: jalopyjournal.com too.
You’ll find info there too, and they will be more receptive/informative to questions regarding your engine and non-original Ford parts.

Not an expert here, but remember that they were listed as commercial vehicles, so if you are looking for them under passenger vehicles, that might explain why you don't see anything.
The drive train was the same as the passenger vehicles.

"DeLuxe 2 dr sedan" ?? That is interesting.

Tony, I would hope that you are not leery about making contributions to The Barn Forum because your car is modified with a "Belly Button power train". I would venture a guess that at least a third of the traffic on The Barn is regarding questions/comments about non Ford applications to the EFV8.
There are a few hard core Ford guys that contribute to the forum from time to time, making one sided comments to refrain from posting on the The Barn in favor of The HAMB/Jalopy Journal.. Generally these comments are ignored.

I agree, and I think that us Sedan delivery guys need to start a sub group to share information and help one another. What do others think?

I'm new to the scene as well. I have a '52 Sedan Delivery with the 239 flathead, and yes, you're right. Info is hard to find on them. I'm trying to find out what Borg Warner w/overdrive I need and who might have a good one because this thing's gears are killing me. And you're right on another point ... you can't see a thing driving it!

Australian 1946 Ford Panel Van.
This example was for sale at a recent local Swap Meet.
In Australia, we called them Panel Vans, not Sedan Deliveries.

I think it might have something to do with the rear doors; The one pictured has doors quite unlike American sedan deliveries. They might be homemade from the looks of them.
