Default Joined the model a club of America

Hello! I just joined the model a club of America and got my package in the mail. How cool! I also ordered a few books; the red book by les Andrews, and judging Manuel, and the past 2 years of hr magazine Restorer.. The magazine Restorer is really cool, and I haven't really got to check out the judging Manuel I got but I've heard it's a must if you want to restore correctly! Looking forward to doing some work on the car this weekend, and taking my new ride to its first car show!

Good morning Marleysurf. Where's the car show that your taking your "New Ride" too?

I see you're located in Ojai? CA? It may be a little far for you but Sunday, April 10 the Orange County MAFC is having their annual Pancake Breakfast in Orange. ~300-400 Model A's usually show up. Great fun. Our Club goes every year.

Talking about breakfast------You know what's weird, just today I read that Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix in a box made it's debut at the 1893 Chicago Columbian Exposition and it blew people away. The idea that you could make pancakes with a little water mixed with a pre-made box of powder was all over the newspapers at the time!!

We take things for granted I suppose the stuff we're wowed at today will be yawned at in 20 years!

Thanks everyone! The Restorer is great! I luckily ordered the past 3 years of Restorer with my other books and it was s good decision. Every one is so awesome! If anyone wants to sell their collection I'm willing to buy.
YBlockhead, there are actually two car shows. The one tonight was in Santa Paula. Super cool, for like 6 months starting in April the first Friday of each month they close down mail St between 530 and like 8 to pre 75 classics. Super cool!
Then tomorrow sat there is a car show in ojai called the April fools run, it is put on my a local Boy Scout troop. I've gone the past few years, it's a good show and I'm an Eagle Scout so I like to support them !
I'll take some pics and post them
