Default '40 coupe sun visor bracket

I needed to replace the coupe driver's side sun visor bracket, part # 91A-7004122. I found a 19A7004122-A1. Is that the same bracket with a different # ? I know 91A- represents a specific year, but what about a 19A ? Thank you.

Is there a left and right visor part #? 40 coupe visors shown below. Are they interchangeable? The single visor photo is drivers side.

19-A is 41 Merc.

The 40 body parts book (I have July 40) only lists 1 visor part number which leads me to believe it can fit either side. The number you list 91A 7004122 I cannot find, the 700 beginning of the number usually means tudor but can fit others.

If your 40 coupe is a V8 (std) it will have a visor PN 91A-7004101-A for 67A and 77A coupe styles.
IF your coupe is a deluxe the visor will have PN 01A-7004101-A for the 67B and 77A I think this 77A might be a typo. I suspect it should read 77B but maybe not.

This is a great question for Kube!

Typically the LH 1940 visor shield is embossed 91A-7004122 PAT. 1937, this is a 1939 part number. the RH is without the part number, it does have Pat.1937. The Ford (Std.) had just the drivers visor where the Dlx. had two. Ford did not sell just the shield thus the 7004122 part number is not in the body parts books. Parts of an assembly sometimes have visual part numbers but since they were sold as an assembly the parts books do not list the individual part numbers. This can be often seen on the front brake drum, where the hub has an unlisted but visual part number.

Thank you all for the info. The '40 standard coupe I have came with the driver's side visor only. The part # on the visor bracket is 91A-7004122, pat.1937. It was in good condition and had a nice original visor on the bracket, under the crappy upholstery that someone put on it when the headliner had been replaced at some point. I believe it is original to the car.
It sounds like the 19A-7004122-A1 '41 Merc is the same as the Ford with a different pre-fix and suffix like all Ford parts.

It appears that Ford only listed the complete visor and not just the bracket by itself. Probably the only difference between V8 (std) and deluxe was the color of the bracket or the material on the visor or both.
