Shading, and drip rails don't show in the lighting, and the vent windows. is just what it looks like to me. I don't own either, but I sure wouldn't turn either down. Can anyone do a photo shop of an Australian Sloper Ford roof on a 39 or 40 Mercury? I sure like that roof line of the Slopers, beautiful cars.

This '40 CHEVY 'Sloper' looks like it was made for a '40 Merc transplant (firewall back)!

Well, at least I managed to get Alan's panties wadded-up, huh? I KNOW what the Aussie Ford 'SLOPERS' are, for sure. I didn't realize that the Chevy boyz (at the least) did 'slopers' too. When I first came across that Chevy pic, it's slanted "B" pillar immediately brought Dale's MATRANGA Merc picture to mind, especially with it's modified top replacement and extreme slanted & curved "B" pillar. For sure, the STOCK, ORIGINAL (non-flattering) top on that Matranga Merc was cut-off and properly disposed of. That's why I couldn't pass-up showing the Chevy pic.

And here is my Mercury Eight 4 door. Barely fits in my garage. Note the opening quarter window all the way in the back in addition to the opening rear glass.
