Original Ford Tire Pumps
In the Judging Standards, there are "very early", "early" , and later models. The "very early" models were Model T carryovers and are so marked with a T number. The next style pump is marked with an A number. In the photos you can see one of each of these. The third type has no number. No number at all. I'd like to know when the A unit began service, and also more about the unmarked "no-number" unit.

Re: Original Ford Tire Pumps
I think that there were more than 3 types but admittedly am still learning. There is also the type with no script and the hose nipple is straight up and down and not inline with the foot base. Here is some of the info that I have accrued.

There were only two "types" or styles, but different manufacturers according to the Restoration Guidelines and MAFCA site.

I am working overseas and didn't have the reference for that particular photo at that particular time, but I did purchase the book from Mr. Adair and he is a very knowledgeable and friendly A'er. I would suggest everyone buy his book. This is his email address: [email protected]
