Shipping companies
I have a wood crate, 12"-18"-34", 80 lbs, to ship from San Diego to Blaine or Bellingham Washington. Any suggestion or tips on who to deal with?

Re: Shipping companies
We use freightcenter.com we ship out several big crates a week and they work really well and get competitive shipping quotes and they pick it up.

They will take up to 150 lbs and 165 inches of L + 2W + 2H (yours is 94 inches). I find the pricing to be good and the ease of walking into a store, and it is done, is great. |

Re: Shipping companies
I've started using Fastenal for any large or heavy packages. I just shipped an old Mopar cast iron 4 speed across the country for $100 and it took a week. I just showed up to the store, they had a pallet and banded it down for me. Really easy.

Re: Shipping companies
I have also used Fastenal several times now. They have 2600 stores nationwide...their service is store to store...you drop off and customer picks up, but the prices are good if you have a loose schedule.
