Default Would you buy a Ford from this guy?

Picture is said to be the mayor of Detroit on left with the first 34 off the line.
Guy an the right is said to be branch manager, but looks like a bootlegger to me.

Gorgeous car! 34 is so sexy.

I think the guy on the left is wearing 'spats.'

Those aren't white socks, they are spats, very popular back in the early 1900s to the early 30s.

Don't know about the car, but the banner survived (at least one of them and no, it's not mine)...

Yes, I would buy that '34 regardless of what those guys look like . Plus, I would offer to pay twice the price of what it sold for in '34. Then I would sell it for 40X that amount LOL

Oh, to only get that time machine working and bring back as many as you can... Imagine a '34 with that "new car smell".

Detroit has not been the scene of extraordinary Mayoral intelligence for the past 50 years. And, maybe before that??

I believe that the Branch Manager's name was Harry Mack and he was pretty much a gangster. He was a friend of Henry's enforcer, Harry Bennet and was available to help Harry get things done in Dearborn when needed. He was connected to Ford because he drove the Indy Pace Car in 1935.
